Information we collect

We may collect account details such as your email address and sign-in provider, onboarding inputs such as age and body metrics, nutrition entries you save in the diary, weight entries, support messages, and technical diagnostics needed to keep the service working.

Meal photos and nutrition records

If you choose to scan meals, the app may process food photos to recognize items and estimate nutrition. Depending on your privacy settings, Bitemora may keep original photos, lighter thumbnail versions, or neither after processing. Nutrition entries and related metadata can be stored so your diary and progress screens continue to work.

How we use information

We use data to provide meal tracking, calculate daily nutrition targets, maintain your diary history, support sign-in, improve reliability, respond to support requests, and protect the service from misuse.

Analytics and diagnostics

Bitemora may collect limited usage analytics and diagnostic data to understand failures and improve the product. Where the app offers analytics controls, you can manage them from settings.

Sharing and service providers

We may use infrastructure, authentication, analytics, and storage providers that process information on our behalf. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information when required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect users and the service.

Data retention

We keep information for as long as needed to operate the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. If the app includes controls to clear local images, diary history, or reset local state, those controls affect only the data covered by that action.

Your choices

You can contact us to request access, correction, or deletion where applicable. You can also manage some data directly inside the app through privacy and data-management settings.

Children

Bitemora is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review the request.
